1. This is an o/ce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 21.04.2025, passed in MCRC No. 3001 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the petitioners, namely, Daljeet Singh and Gurubaj Singh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certi;ed copy of the order, if there was no legal KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raipur, District – Raipur (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 24.10.2025 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in the present case, the chief examination of the Investigating O/cer in the said case was completed and the matter was ;xed for his cross-examination on 16/10/2025. However, on that date, the accused persons remained absent. When their counsel was called, he stated orally that he had no contact with the accused persons and had not received any instructions from them, due to which he did not wish to appear on their behalf. Because of this, the accused persons remained absent, and arrest warrants were issued against them. Due to their absence, the ;nal disposal of the case could not be completed within the stipulated time. Therefore, he prays for grant of four month’s time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o7 with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certi;ed copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
