The prayer in the petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.3 -Tahasildar to issue Saguvali chit in favour of the petitioners pursuant to the order of regularization of unauthorised occupation passed by the Committee on 20.05.2002 at Annexure-A. 3. Learned counsel submits that Annexure-A is the list of persons/applicants in whose favour the Committee passed orders of regularization and the name of the petitioner’s father is found at Serial No.19 and 36, both in favour of Sri Chikkanna, S/o Narasimmaiah. Two pieces of land measuring 25 guntas and 22 guntas was regularised in favour of Sri Chikkanna. It is pointed out from Annexure-G that Saguvali chits were issued in favour of the other applicants way back in the year 2004 itself. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30246 WP No. 23521 of 2025 However, Saguvali chit was not issued in favour of Sri. Chikkanna, although he paid the kimmat as seen at Annexures-D and D1 pursuant to the notices issued at Annexures-C and C1. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.3 – Tahasildar, Kunigal Taluk to consider the representations given by the petitioner at Annexure-F dated 12.12.2024, verify the records and find out whether Sri Chikkanna was indeed granted with two pieces of land. If it is found that the Committee had in fact regularised the lands in favour of Sri Chikkanna, the Tahasildar shall proceed to pass necessary orders issuing Saguvali chit in favour of the legal representatives of Sri Chikkanna and enter their names in the land records pursuant to the issuance of the Saguvali chit. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30246 WP No. 23521 of 2025 5.
