The petitioner is the 5 th defendant in OS No. 400/2006. The suit was filed for partition, and the suit was dismissed as per judgment dated 15.02.2014. Aggrieved by the judgment and decree, AS No.87/2014 was filed on 31.03.2014. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, even after ten years, the appeal is not yet disposed of. Therefore, he seeks a direction for speedy disposal. 3. A report was called for, and a report dated 26.03.2025 is received from the IV Additional District Court, Thrissur, wherein it is stated that there are 7 respondents in the case, in which the 3 rd respondent is reported dead and his legal heirs were impleaded as respondents 8 to 12. Now, the OPC 759/2025 -4- 2025:KER:28699 case is posted for hearing on 09.04.2025. The judge has brought to notice, the number of pending cases before the Court. Taking into consideration that the appeal has been pending for the last ten years, and considering the above report, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this original petition, with a direction to the District and Sessions Court, Thrissur, to dispose of AS No.87/2014, within a period of six months after the summer vacation.
