GP FOR IRRIGATION COMM AREA DEV 3 VS,J W.P.No.9628 of 2022 The Court made the following Order: The present Writ Petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- “… to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction declaring the action of the Respondents in withholding the payment of net balance amount Rs.8,05,613/- vide CFMS number 2019-283613, even after finalizing the bills payable to the petitioner in relation to the works i.e., Desilting and jungle clearance of Pedda Vanka Reach-3 near Molagavalli Kottala in Molagavalli (V), Alur (M) of Kurnool district under Neeru Chettu, Vide Agreement No.2318/2018-19, dated 07.02.2019 is questioned, as the same is illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to consider for payment of amounts of Rs.8,05,613/- vide CFMS number 2019-283613 with interest @24% per annum for the delayed amount to the petitioner in respect of execution of above-mentioned work forthwith and to pass such other order or orders ….” 2. When the writ petition came up for admission on 12.04.2022, this Court was pleased to pass the following interim direction in I.A.No.1 of 2022: “In the circumstances, the respondents are directed to pay the approved and final bill amount due to the petitioner within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.” 3. Today, when the writ petition came up for hearing, Ms. M.Sumalatha, learned counsel representing Mr. Bathala Ramesh, learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that, pending writ petition, the respondent authorities have paid the amounts due to the petitioner. 4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed.
