This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: “to issue a writ in the nature of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction, order or orders declaring the action of the respondents, particularly the 5th Respondent non-Consider the my Representation on 20-8-2025 old age Pension ( Social security Pension ) to the petitioner as illegal arbitrary While the 5th respondent without notice without assigned any reasons and without verified My documents while stop the old-age pension since January 2020 to till today while stood things the petitioner time to time have made a representation before the respondents till now without following procedure it is clear violation of the GO MS NO 43 Dt. 13-6-2024 as highly illegal, improper, unjust, and in violation of Article 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India. And consequently Direct the respondents to release the old-age pension to the petitioner with arrears January 2020 to till now situated at Korapam village, Amadalavalasa Mandalam Srikakulam District and pass..” 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondent Nos.1, 3 and the learned Standing counsel for the respondent No.5. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a permanent resident of Korapam Village, Amadalavalasa Mandal, Srikakulam District. As he is aged about 60 years and senior citizen, the petitioner is eligible to receive the Old 3 Aged Pension (Social Security Pension) in terms of G.O.Ms.No.174 dated 13.09.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13.06.2024. For which, the petitioner has been making oral and written representations to the 5th respondent herein, seeking for sanction of the said old aged pension (Social Security Pension). However, for one reason or the other, the respondent Nos.4 and 5 neither considered the representations of the petitioner nor issued any other proceedings in that regard so far. Hence, the present writ petition. 4. On the other hand, the learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent furnished written instructions dated 27.09.2025, wherein it is stated that even though the petitioner has been submitting representations from time to time, the same were not considered in terms of G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13.06.2024. However, pursuant to the petitioner’s representations made under G.O.Ms.No.174 dated 13.12.2019, the respondents have verified and found that the petitioner is eligible and entitled to receive the old age pension (Social Security Pension). Accordingly, the 5th respondent submitted a report dated 26.09.2025, stating that the petitioner is an eligible person to receive the Old Aged Pension (Social Security Pension) in terms of G.O.Ms.No.174, 13.12.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13.06.2024. 4 5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.4 and 5, and on perusal of the material available on record, in view of the clear and categorical admissions on the part of the respondents by way of written instructions, the claim of the petitioner should be considered in terms of G.O.Ms.No.174 dated 13.12.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13.06.2024 as referred to supra. 6. In view of the facts and circumstances as stated above, this Court is of the considered view that the present writ petition can be disposed of by directing the respondent Nos.4 and 5 to consider the claim of the petitioner for granting of Old Aged Pension (Social Security Pension) in terms of G.O.Ms.No.174 dated 13.12.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 13.06.2024, with reference to the enquiry report submitted by the 5th respondent dated 26.09.2025, within a reasonable period, but not later than two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. 7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
