GP FOR IRRI AND CAD The Court made the following: 3 VS,J W.P.NO.26294 OF 2024 THE HONOURABLE SMT JUSTICE V.SUJATHA WRIT PETITION NO: 26294/2024 ORDER:- This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: <….to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of MANDAMUS declaring the action of the Respondent authorities not releasing Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 8,43,000/- to the Petitioners even though the Agreement was entered and executing the part of contract works i.e.. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Irrigation, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is entitled for release of the EMD amount to a tune of Rs.8,43,000/-, as requested in the present writ petition. 3. As the amount payable to the petitioner is admitted, this Court is of the opinion to dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondents to pay the said amount within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
