ORDER:
The instant Criminal Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 8Cr.P.C.9) / under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short, 8BNSS9) has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashment of the proceedings in FIR No.123 of 2025 dated 27.06.2025 of Mahila Police Station, Visakhapatnam, for the offences punishable under Section 85 of the BNS and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
2. Heard Sri M.Rupesh Bharath Bhushan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public are in attendance.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the matter is at the crime stage and that the petitioner, being the husband, is facing allegations for the offences punishable under Section 498-A and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
4. This Court is of the opinion that the matter is at the investigation stage. At this juncture, this Court cannot quash the proceedings without giving a free hand to the police to conduct investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out certain contradictions allegedly made by respondent No.2 in the present complaint as well as in her

petition seeking maintenance in F.C.O.P. No.1432 of 2025 pending before the Family Court, Visakhapatnam. This is not the stage to look into such aspects.
6. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, without causing any prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioner, this petition may be disposed of.
7. In view thereof, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
