The petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider his claim for conversion of lease hold rights to free hold in respect of Flat no. MMH/2B, 1st Floor under the scheme of M. Kashiram Nagar Yojna, Moradabad. 2. The petitioner claims that he is having lease hold rights in the said flat and that his representation for grant of free hold rights is still pending. 3. The specific case of the petitioner is that in respect of flats on the ground floor, the respondents had executed free hold deed on basis of allotment letters, however, in case of the petitioner, they had executed a lease deed thus resulting in discrimination. 4. Shri K.M. Asthana, learned counsel for the respondent- Development Authority states that the grievance of the petitioner is under active consideration and that remedial steps, as required under law, would be taken within four weeks. 5. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent-Development Authority to take decision on the request of the petitioner within four weeks from today and communicate the same to him forthwith.
