By the present writ petition the petitioner is questioning the order dated 08.11.2024 passed by respondent No. 4 i.e. SDO, Durg by which the petitioner has been removed from post of Sarpanch by exercising power under Section 40 of the C.G. Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has preferred an appeal on 28.11.2024 before the Collector (Annexure P-2) against the order dated 08.11.2024 passed by the SDO, which is still pending. He further submits that the writ petition be disposed off with a direction to the Collector to decide the appeal within stipulated time. 3. Learned State counsel submits that if the appeal is pending before the Collector, the same will be considered and necessary steps will be taken within four weeks. 4. I have heared learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents. 5. In view of the submission made by the learned State counsel, the writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the Collector to 3 decide the appeal filed by the petitioner (Annexure P-2) within a period of 4 weeks, in accordance with law. 6.
