IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI A.B.A. No.1143 of 2025 ------ Munna Khan, aged about 29 years, son of Sabir Khan, resident of village Shaikh Bigha, P.O. Sone Nagar, P.S. Barun, Dist.- Aurangabad, Bihar .... .... …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand .... .... .... Opposite Party ------ CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY ------ For the Petitioner : None For the State : None ------ Order No.02 Dated- 20-02-2025 No one turns up on behalf of either of the parties in-spite of repeated calls. Apprehending his arrest in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No.29 of 2021 instituted under Sections 413, 414 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 11(1)(a)(d)(e)(f) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Sections 12(1) (2) (3) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter) Act, 2005, the petitioner has moved this Court for grant of privileges of anticipatory bail. Perusal of the record reveals that the allegation against the petitioner is that petitioner is the driver of a Truck bearing registration No.JH-02-AL-0520 and the said vehicle was seized by police while being involved in illegal transportation of bovine animals for their illegal slaughter. It is averred in the anticipatory bail application that the allegation against the petitioner is false. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent, as it appears from perusal of paragraph no.19 of the anticipatory bail application. It is also averred in the anticipatory bail application that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any terms and condition as imposed by this Court. Considering the aforesaid facts of the case, I am inclined to grant privileges of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to surrender in the Court below within six weeks from today and in the event of his arrest or surrendering, he will be enlarged on bail on depositing Rs.20,000/- as cash security and on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M. 1st Class, Ranchi in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No.29 of 2021 with the condition that he will co-operate with the investigation of the case and appear before the investigating officer as and when noticed by him and furnish his mobile number and photocopy of the Aadhar Card with an undertaking he will not change his mobile number during the pendency of the case and further conditions as laid down under Section 482 (2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
