ORAL ORDER:
Heard Sri Challa Venkat, learned Counsel for the Writ Petitioner, Sri N.V.S. Prasada Varma, learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.2 and Smt. Jayanthi, learned Government Pleader appearing for Respondent No.4. 2. <Srinivasa Kalyanam= is conducted by the priests of T.T.D. in different parts of the globe. For this purpose, Respondent No.4, in consultation with the priests of T.T.D. (Respondent No.2), issues a schedule of <Kalyanams= to be held in various parts of the world. 3. Petitioner No.1 had been organizing <Srinivasa Kalyanam= as an annual event in Gloucester, United Kingdom. It has already been organized twice earlier, which fact is not disputed by the Respondents. Insofar as the current year is concerned, the Petitioner No.1 had made arrangements for organizing <Srinivasa Kalyanam=. To the surprise of Petitioner No.1, the schedule issued by Respondent No.4 did not disclose the name of Petitioner No.1 Association for conducting the event for the current year at Gloucester. 4. Insofar as Petitioner No.1 is concerned, this Court had, on the last occasion i.e., on 23.09.2025, directed Respondent Nos.2 and 4 to clarify
whether the priests can perform the <Srinivasa Kalyanam= at Gloucester on any date without disturbing the existing schedule. 5.
Smt. Jayanthi, learned Government Pleader for GAD, also representing Respondent No.4, has now submitted Written Instructions, after consultation with Respondent No.2, stating that it would be possible to organize <Srinivasa Kalyanam= at Gloucester shrine on 11.10.2025, subject to the conditions mentioned in the Order dated 23.09.2025, namely, that Petitioner No.1 shall bear the expenditure of the priests and the supervisor for their round trip to Gloucester, including boarding and lodging. Copy of the Written Instructions supplied to the Counsel for the Writ Petitioners and the same is taken on record. 6. Sri N.V.S. Prasada Varma, learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.2 has also confirmed this position that on 11.10.2025, <Srinivasa Kalyanam= will be organized at the Gloucester, U.K., through Petitioner No.1 Association, namely <The International Hindu Community Association of Gloucester.= It is ordered accordingly. 7. Having considered the above facts, this Court is of the opinion that the prayer sought in the present Writ Petition has been duly redressed and no further consideration is necessary. 8. Respondent Nos.2 and 4, through mutual coordination and cooperation, shall now perform <Srinivasa Kalyanam= at Gloucester on 11.10.2025, which will be organized by Petitioner No.1 which is represented by Petitioner No.2. 9. With these observations and directions, the present Writ Petition is allowed. No order as to costs. 10. Interlocutory Applications, if any, stand closed in terms of this order. _________________________________ GANNAMANENIRAMAKRISHNA PRASAD, J Dt:26.09.2025 DSV
