ORDER :
1. The petitioner applied in pursuance of the advertisement October, 2009 for appointment to the post of the Music Teacher. The respondents after completing the selection process on the recommendation of the selection committee recruited the petitioner as a Music Teacher on contract basis for a period of one year vide proceedings dated
23.12.2010.
2. The petitioner was appointed on contract basis and it was a renewable every year after three years depending on the requirement and performance. The proceedings of the Registrar dated 23.12.2010 would indicate the petitioner would be paid a monthly consolidated pay of Rs.10,000/-.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondents are obligated to issue one month notice in advance or pay one month salary in viewof the notice period in the event the services of the petitioner are dispense with. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that vide proceedings dated 26.04.2012 the

Registrar had issued proceedings of discontinuing the services of the petitioner with effect from 01.05.2012.

The respondents in their counter have submitted that the advertisement dated 08.10.2009 was issued inviting the applications for Music and Dance Teacher and the petitioner was selected by the Selection Committee. It is also stated in the counter that the petitioner cannot have any right to claim services rendered in the respondent in any form. It is submitted that the respondent/university based on involving the mix of video lectures and conditional lab practice. The video lectures are as per the faculty plan. The faculty of the respondent/university includes Professors, Associate Professors and Lectures who were recruited by the University are largely responsible for preparation of video lectures and imparting education through class rooms lectures. The services of the petitioner were utilized as per the requirement of the university and were discontinued with effect from 01.05.2012.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the leaned counsel appearing for the respondents.

6. The petitioner places reliance on the notification dated
19.10.2009. As seen from the notification, the recruitment is on Adhoc and contractual basis. The proceedings dated 23.12.2010 issued by the respondent categorically indicate that the appointment is on a contract basis for a limited period of time. The service of the petitioner were utilized from 17.01.2011 till 30.04.2012. The submission of the
learned counsel for the petitioner with respect to non issuance of one month advance notice or payment of one month salary in view of the notice would arise in case the petitioner intends to leave the university before contract period as per clause 7 of the Orders of appointment dated
23.12.2010. The petitioner has not been in service since
01.05.2012. The grievance of the petitioner seeking reinstatement and reinstatement to the post of Assistant Professor and to pay the pay scale as per UGC Norms cannot be granted by this Court.
7. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed without costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
