A case has been registered against the petitioner/A2 herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 85, 115(1), 351 (2) r/w 3(5) of BNS. 2. The brief facts of the case are that, prior to 16.02.2025 A1 being the wife of M.Nirmalamma used to harass her physically and mentally by keeping illegal contact with A2. Further, on hearing the words of A2, A1 sold out one house. Sometimes, A2 also threatened Nirmalamma with dire consequences. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, even as per the report lodged by the defacto complainant and the material placed on record, no specific allegations have been made against the petitioner/A2, except that she allegedly developed an illicit relationship with the husband of the defacto complainant, who is A1. It appears that the defacto complainant 4. 2 has lodged a report against A1, alleging that he used to threaten her with dire consequences. The offences alleged against the petitioner are punishable with imprisonment of less than seven years. It is also submitted that A1 has already been arrested and released on bail. 5. Considering the material on record and the absence of specific allegations against the petitioner/A2, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner/A2, subject to the following conditions: The petitioner/A2 is directed to surrender before the Station House Officer concerned within two (2) weeks from today and on such surrender, the petitioner/A2 shall be released on bail on her executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with one surety for a like sum to the satisfaction of the arresting police officials. After release, the petitioner/A2 shall cooperate for investigation and shall appear before the investigating officer as and when her presence is required. The petitioner/A2 shall not cause any threat, inducement or promise to the prosecution witnesses. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed. Sd/- G.
