This bail application has been filed by petitioner under Section 483 of BNSS in connection with FIR No. VIII(48) 16/2024- 2025 registered at Police Station Custom Department for offence(s) under Sections 132, 135(1)(A), (B) of the Customs Act. 2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned public prosecutor and perused the material available on record. 3. Having considered the nature of allegation and the fact that co-accused Mohd. Hanif and Mohd. Irfan have already been released on bail by this Court; offences are triable by the Magistrate; there are no previous criminal antecedents of petitioner; Charge-sheet has been filed and petitioner is in custody since 17.12.2024, but without commenting on merits of [2025:RJ-JP:23573] (2 of 2) [CRLMB-1383/2025] the case, this Court deems it just and proper to release petitioner on bail. 4. Accordingly, the bail application is allowed and it is ordered that accused-petitioner Vinod Kumar S/o Shri Hardev Singh shall be released on bail provided, he furnishes a personal bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- each with two sureties of Rs.25,000/- to the satisfaction of the learned trial Judge for his appearance before the court concerned on all the dates of hearing as and when called upon to do so.
