The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Chatra (Sadar) P.S. Case No.184 of 2024 (S.T. No.418 of 2024) for the offences registered under Sections 326, 307, 302, 34 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned District & Sessions Judge (PDJ), Chatra. On 14.05.2024, the petitioner along with co-accused persons dragged the informant and petitioner’s sister to a nearby forest. It is alleged that co- accused Sita Bharti gave an axe blow to the informant. However, he somehow managed to escape. Thereafter, he heard the cry of the sister of this petitioner. Later on, it transpired that she was murdered. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected.
