The petitioners have preferred present writ petition inter-alia with the following prayer :- "i. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondent no. 4 (District Supply Officer, Shamli) to consider and decide the petitioner's claim in the light of the order dated 08.02.2004 passed by this Hon'ble Court in writ-C No. 41652 of 2004 and order dated 23.11.2024 and corrected order dated 02.12.2024, passed by the Addl. Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondent no. 4 (District Supply Officer, Shamli), to insure the supply of the Ration to the petitioner's shops till the disposal of the petitioner's matter." 2. After some arguments counsel for the petitioners confined his prayer and prayed that respondent no.4 namely District Supply Officer, Shamli be directed to pass appropriate orders pursuant to the directions given by the Joint Commissioner (Food), Saharanpur Division, Saharanpur dated 02.12.2024 expeditiously. 3. It is argued by counsel for the petitioner that the order passed by the respondent no.4 dated 18.03.2024 was set aside and the matter was remanded back to decide the matter again afresh on merits. It is further argued that though a considerable time has lapsed but till date no decision has been taken on the same. 4. On the other hand it is argued by learned Standing Counsel that respondent no.4 will take a decision in the matter. 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 6. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself. 7. In the facts and circumstances of the case, present petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.4 to decide the aforesaid matter strictly in accordance with law most expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order after providing opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned unless there is no legal impediment.
