Mr. Raunak Pant, Advocate, holding brief of Mr. Naresh Pant, Advocate for respondent nos. 3 & 4. 4. Petitioner’s land was acquired for construction of national highway. Petitioner was not satisfied with the amount determined as compensation by Competent Authority, Land Acquisition, therefore, he approached the District Magistrate / Arbitrator under Section 3G (5) of National Highways Act, 1956. The Arbitrator gave his award, but, petitioner being dissatisfied therewith approached District Judge, Haridwar under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. 5. According to the petitioner, the application under Section 34 of 2025:UHC:3638 Arbitration and Conciliation Act, was filed by him in the year 2018, which is numbered as Misc. Case No. 72 of 2018. Since no decision has been taken thereupon, therefore, petitioner has approached this Court. 6. Having regard to the fact that the application under Section 34 of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 is pending before learned District Judge since 2018 and the petitioner is also an old person, writ petition is disposed of with a request to learned District Judge, Haridwar to make endeavour to decide the application filed by petitioner within four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
