(ORAL) Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to proceed against the accused in FIR No.36 dated 25.02.2025 registered under Sections 125, 3(5) of BNS and Sections 25, 27, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act at Police Station Dharamkot, by adding appropriate Sections of BNS. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner before this Court is the complainant at whose behest the said FIR was registered, however, till date there is no progress in the investigation. Notice of motion to the official respondents only. Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. On instructions from ASI Kuldeep Singh, he has submitted that the investigation is already going on and the same would be concluded expeditiously. After hearing learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Agency to conclude the investigation in a free and fair manner. The petitioner would be at liberty to pursue his remedy in case any further cause of action accrues to him.
