(Oral) By means of present petition, petitioners seek to quash the charge-sheet dated 11.01.2021 in case crime no.366 of 2019, P.S. Sahaspur, District Dehradun and the summoning/cognizance order dated 20.11.2021 passed by Judicial Magistrate, Vikasnagar, Dehradun as well as the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.845 of 2021 “State vs. Manish and Ors.” for the offences punishable u/s 498-A, 323, 504 of IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Vikasnagar, Dehradun. 2. In view of the fact that a Compounding Application was filed by the parties before this Court, this Court, vide order dated 04.04.2025, had directed the parties to appear before the Secretary, DLSA, Dehradun to get their statements recorded and to verify the compromise deed. 3. Pursuant to such order, Secretary, DLSA, Dehradun 1 2025:UHC:2967 has submitted report dated 09.04.2025 which indicates that the parties have settled the dispute amicably and have also verified the contents of the compromise. 4. In view of the above, Compounding Application IA No.1/2025 is allowed. As a consequence thereof, charge-sheet dated 11.01.2021 in case crime no.366 of 2019, P.S. Sahaspur, District Dehradun and the summoning/cognizance order dated 20.11.2021 passed by Judicial Magistrate, Vikasnagar, Dehradun as well as the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.845 of 2021 “State vs. Manish and Ors.” for the offences punishable u/s 498-A, 323, 504 of IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Vikasnagar, Dehradun, is hereby quashed qua the petitioners. 5. Accordingly, present petition is disposed of, on the basis of compromise/settlement arrived at between the parties.
