By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, petitioner wants opening of the sealed cover in respect of promotion from Constable to Head Constable in terms of the Government Order dated 28.05.1997. 2. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel submits that the departmental promotion committee held its meeting in between 26.12.2024 to 13.02.2025 and accordingly, the Government Order dated 28.05.1997 cannot be pressed into service prior to expiry of period of one year. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute that the Committee made in between the period running from December, 2024 to February, 2025. 4. Accordingly, I decline to grant indulgence at this stage as the Government Order itself provides for a period of one year to pass the sealed cover procedure adopted prior to envoking the procedure contained therein. 5. In view of the above, petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to file afresh at an appropriate stage.
