This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., Buchireddypalem Nagara Panchayat- Navaratnalu-YSR Gruha Vasathi Scheme-Pedalandariki Illu- Levelling of House Sites, formation and gravelling the internal road in Sy.No.519, 523, 524, 526, 527 and 1025 (Acers 6.81) in Bucchireddypalem Nagara Panchayati, SPSR Nellore District, vide Agreement No.6/2020-2021, dt.01.01.2021, as entrusted by the 2nd respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work undertaken to the satisfaction of the 2nd respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work -3- W.P. No.26149 OF 2025 Date of order: 23.09.2025 in M Books and final quality assessments were also done by the agency employed by the 2nd respondent and thereafter the petitioner has submitted a final bill for a sum of Rs.21,42,096/- and the 2nd respondent approved the same. However, no payment has been made to the petitioner till date. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the works undertaken by the petitioner and the amount due payable to the petitioner. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 4 and 5 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
