THE HONOURABLE SMT JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA WRIT PETITION NO: 28566 OF 2025 The Court made the following order:
Heard Sri Krishna Kishore Bhatraju, learned counsel for the petitioner appeared through video conference and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare appearing for the respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent is in not disposing the appeal No.6 of 2024 filed by the petitioner under the provisions of Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (for short ‘the Act’). 3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare appearing for the respondents has placed before the Court a copy of the written instructions received from the 3rd respondent. A perusal of the same would reflect that the petitioner did not submit certain documents that were required by the 3rd respondent. 4. Having regard to the above, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the appeal No.6 of 2024 filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. The
4
petitioner shall cooperate with the 3rd respondent in disposing of the appeal and shall furnish the required documents as sought by the 3rd respondent. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, all pending miscellaneous applications shall stand closed. _______________________________ JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA Date: 16.10.2025 BSK
