He was born in year 2005. It was incorrectly recorded as year 2003. As proof he has Secondary School Certificate, a document that is mentioned in the new guidelines. Mr. Surendra Nath Chauhan, learned advocate, Central Counsel appears on behalf of Union of India. Petitioner will communicate certified copy of this order, copy of office memorandum dated 26th November, 2015 and copy of his application for re-issue of the passport (by incorporating the correction) to respondent no.2, who will deal with petitioner's requirement of the re-issuance for purpose of correction of his date of birth. In event, petitioner has to apply by proper procedure, he may be told of the prescribed procedure. Otherwise, if petitioner's requisition is to be rejected, reasons must be given and informed to him within three weeks of the communication. The writ petition is disposed of.
