1 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.812 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.38 of 2024 of Annavaram Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju district. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 04.12.2024, at about 14.00 hours, on credible information, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Annavaram Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, proceeded to Lothugedda bridge, Chinthapalli Mandal, and found A1 to A4 in possession and illegal transportation of 120 Kgs of ganja. Police arrested A1 to A4 and the contraband along with vehicles and other material was seized from their possession under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. 2 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that the contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the accused is 120 Kgs of Ganja, which is a huge commercial quantity. It is submitted by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the investigation is not yet completed and other accused are to be apprehended. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A2 at this stage. 6.
