Mr. I.P.S. Sabharwal, DAG, Punjab. Mr. Sukhbir Maandi, Advocate for respondents No.2 and 3. *** N.S.Shekhawat J. (Oral) 1. The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 with a prayer to grant anticipatory bail to him in case FIR No.0101 dated 24.08.2024, under Sections 420, 120-B of IPC, registered at Police Station Khilchian, District Amritsar. 2. While granting the concession of interim anticipatory bail to the co-accused in a connected case i.e. CRM-M-10878-2025 on 03.04.2025, the following contentions were noticed by this Court and the same have been reproduced below:- “Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners have been falsely involved in the present case as petitioner No.1 happens to be mother-in-law, whereas petitioner No.2 is the wife of Sarabjit Singh, main accused and an attempt has been made by the complainant to involve the female members of their house. Learned counsel for the petitioners further contends that in fact there were financial transactions between the parties and a civil dispute has been converted into a criminal offence illegally. She has further HEMLATA 2025.05.23 04:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-21415-2025 -2- referred to the bank transactions Annexure P-7 to contend that Sarabjit Singh had returned an amount of Rs.54,87,000/- to Paramjit Singh, complainant. She further contends that in fact an amount of Rs.2,92,000/- was transferred by Manjeet Kaur, mother of the Sarabjit Singh to the account of Paramjit Singh. Further, an amount of Rs.2,37,000/- was transferred by Satwant Kaur, peti- tioner No.1 in the account of Paramjit Singh on different dates. Even other family members had transferred various amounts to Paramjeet Singh, complainant in the present case. She further con- tends that out of total claimed amount of Rs.97,45,000/-, the peti- tioners side had already transferred an amount of Rs. 87,64,000/- to the complainant side. Thus, the complainant had lodged the FIR by concealing the material facts from the police and the petitioners are ready to join the investigation. She further contends that even there were financial transactions between the petitioners side and Karamjit Singh, complainant as well and she would produce the evidence in this regard before this Court as well.” 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has reiterated the submissions and further submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation may not be required. 4. Learned State counsel also submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is no longer required for further investigation. 5. In view of the above statement made by learned counsel for the parties, the interim order dated 19.05.2025 is made absolute. The petitioner shall continue to join the investigation, as and when called by the Investigating Officer. The petitioners shall also abide by the conditions as specified under Section 482 (2) of B.N.S.S.
