By means of present writ petition petitioners have sought following reliefs: “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.-1 to forthwith pass an order to District Basic Education Officer, Mathura to take an action for posting at initial appointed place of the petitioners within a reasonable stipulated time period in pursuance of letter dated 01.07.2014 (Annexure No. 6 to this writ petition) of Principal, DIET. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pass an order for joining to the petitioners at the place of their initial posting in district-Mathura.” 3. From the nature of relief sought in this writ petition, it appears that it has become infructuous since this writ petition is pending for last more than a decade as well as that petitioners have also not declared their age, therefore, it cannot be said, whether petitioners are still working or not. 4. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. 5. However, petitioners will have liberty to file recall or review application, as the case may be, if cause still survives, within eight weeks from today.
