GP FOR MED HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE The Court made the following Order: The petitioners are challenging the action of the respondents in not allowing them to attend the interview for recruitment to the post of Pharmacists in 104 services, on the ground that the petitioners have not acquired Intermediate qualification along with a Diploma in Pharmacy. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioners are challenging the action on respondents in denying them the opportunity to apply for the post of Pharmacist, as they do possess the intermediate qualification along with Diploma in Pharmacy. 2 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, as per the Andhra Pradesh Medical Subordinate Services Rules, the petitioners are entitled to be considered for appointment as Pharmacists. However, according to the General Rules for the State and Subordinate Services, 1993, applicants are required to possess an Intermediate qualification along with Diploma in Pharmacy and to attend the interview process. 4. This Court, considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners at the time of admission, granted an interim order dated 02.04.2012, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners for appointment as Pharmacists, as they are otherwise qualified under the Andhra Pradesh Medical Subordinate Services Rules. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off in terms of the interim orders granted earlier, there shall be no order as to costs.
