2025:JHHC:11473 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI A.B.A. No. 2370 of 2025 ----- Soni Behra @ Soni Singh, S/o Pyara Singh, R/o C/52 Bajrang Nagar, Golmuri, P.O.+P.S.- Golmuri, District- East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur) .... Petitioner(s). Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party(s). ------ CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Arvind Kumar Choudhary, Advocate For the State : Mr. Tarun Kumar, A.P.P. …...... 06/ 16.04.2025: Heard, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State. 2. This is an application filed by the petitioner praying for grant of anticipatory bail in terms of Sections 482 and 484 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 apprehending his arrest for the offences under Sections 127(1)/127(2)/118(1)/118(2)/ 109/3(5) of the BNS. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though it is alleged that several persons have assaulted Vikash Kumar with knife but there is only one injury. 3. Learned A.P.P. opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. 4. I have gone through the F.I.R. and also the impugned order, it is clear that this petitioner and others have assaulted the informant. The Doctor found injury on the upper part of the abdomen which is grievous in nature. Though the allegation of assault is against Akash, but it is apparent that this petitioner has dragged the informant into the corner and also assaulted him. 5. Considering the nature of allegation, I find that this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners in connection with Golmuri P.S. Case No.144 of 2024, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur, stands rejected.
