PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A3, seeking anticipatory bail, in connection with Crime No.128 of 2024 of Gudur I town Police Station, Tirupati district. 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 15.11.2024, at about 17.30 hours, on credible information, the Sub-Inspector of Police, Gudur I Town Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, conducted raid near Parcel Office, Railway Station, Gudur, and found A1 in possession of 2.020 Kgs of Meth drug. A1 confessed that he procured the said drug from A2, who in turn procured the same from A3. The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record, prima facie, goes to show that the seized Meth drug belonged to the petitioner herein/A3 and that the petitioner herein/A3, along with A1 and A2, is habitually selling Meth drug to the students of the Engineering Colleges. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is not yet completed. In view of 3 the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _______________________ K.
