The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the Respondents 1st to 7th to take necessary steps to remove the illegal encroachment made by the 8th to 12th Respondents made on the government promboke road land in Ward A, Block 16, Town Survey Nos.82,83 of Koda Nagar, Cheyyar, Tiruvannamalai District which is mentioned as canal in the Revenue Records and town survey by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 08.09.2025. 2. The status report filed by the Tahsildar, Cheyyar , would show that a joint inspection was conducted by the Tahsildar as well as the Municipal authorities. During the joint inspection, the authorities found no encroachment made in respect of the public properties. 3. Learned counsel for the private respondent would submit that during the earlier round of litigation, similar exercise of conducting survey was done by the Tahsildar, Cheyyar. and a letter was addressed to the Commissioner Municipality on 02.06.2025, wherein also it is reiterated that no encroachment is available in the subject property, which is a patta land. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 40668 of 2025 __________ Page4 of 5 4.
