The petitioner is before this Court challenging the rejection of his claim for compassionate appointment and consequentially, a direction is sought against the respondents to consider his claim for compassionate appointment. 2. Learned Assistant Government Pleader places on record an undertaking, which is in vernacular, in which, it is stated that the petitioner has undertaken that he would withdraw the writ petition since he has accepted Rs.5 lacs in lieu of compassionate appointment. A copy of the Demand Draft is also annexed to this letter. 3. The contents of said letter are not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. In the light of the fact that the petitioner has given the undertaking that he would withdraw the petition because he has C/SCA/9029/2017 ORDER DATED: 21/07/2025 received a sum of Rs.5 lacs, it is obvious that the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment cannot be considered.
