Mr. Jastej Singh, DAG Punjab SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J (ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus thereby directing the official respondent no. 1 to 3 for the protection of the life and liberty of Petitioners at the time of cutting/harvesting of ripe wheat crop in the land owned by petitioners and not to interfere in the peaceful life and land of Petitioners at behest of respondents no. 4 to 10 and other relatives/friends_and notorious persons. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the protection which are sought in the instant petition qua the crops standing in the fields already stands harvested by the complainant and in that regard and FIR already stands registered. He therefore, prays for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to avail alternate remedy in accordance with law. Prayer is accepted. Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
