Advocate for the Petitioner , The Court made the following:ORDER THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 1075 OF 2025 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioners/A1 to A4 seeking bail in Crime No.296/2024 of ll Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioners/A1 to A4 and others for the offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 01.12.2024 at 2.30 am, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.l of Police, II Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam Commissionerate, along with staff and mediators, went to floor, Kobbarithota, Allipuram, Visakhapatnam and found four persons in a room with two boxes and three plastic bags. On seeing the police, the said four persons tried to escape. Then police apprehended them, and on interrogation, they disclosed their identity particulars as that of A1 to A4 and police found 122.042 kgs of ganja in their possession. Police seized the contraband and the vehicle, and arrested the nd D.No.32-25-26/1, 2 accused and got them remanded to Judicial custody on 01.12.2024. 4. Heard. Perused the record. .1# 2 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits yet completed and it is at nascent stage be examined and prays to dismiss the Criminal A perusal of the material available petitioners/A1 to A4 that investigation is not ^ 3nd some more witnesses are to Petition. 6. on record goes to show that the were arrested and remanded to judicial custody 01.12.2024 and police on credible information on seized 122.042 kgs ofganja which is a huge quantity, from their possession. As stated by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the investigation is at nascent stage. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage in view of the gravity of the allegations. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. 8.
