GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a Writ Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the 4th respondent in concluding investigation with respect to the FIR No. 507 of 2020 dt. 27.09.2020 and FIR No. 473 of 2020 dt. 31.08.2020 registered against respondents No. 5 to 16 as illegal, arbitrary and violative of section 173 of CRPC and Art. 21 of Constitution of India, and consequently direct the respondent No.4 tc conclude the investigation and file the final report in respect of FIR No. 507 of 2020 dt. 27.09.2020 and FIR No. 473 of 2020 dt. 31.08.2020 as expeditiously as possible.” 2. Heard Sri A.S.C.Bose, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the respondent/police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.507 of 2020 and Crime No.473 of 2020 and file a final report. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 3 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to conclude the investigation in the above crimes and file reports in accordance with law, within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
