JUSTICE SHIVASHANKAR AMARANNAVAR ORAL ORDER This petition is filed by the sole accused under Section 482 of Cr.P.C praying to quash the proceedings in Special case No.4/2024 pending on the file of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Gadag, registered for offences punishable under Section 201, 504 and 506 of IPC and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(2)(va) of SC/ST (POA) Act and Section 66(D)(E) of the Information and Technology Act. A case came to be registered against the petitioner on the complaint of respondent No.2 in Crime No.211/2023 of Naragund Police Station for offence punishable under Section 201, 506, 504 of IPC and 3(2)(va) of SC and ST (POA) Act. After investigation, Police have filed charge sheet against the petitioner for the above said offences. Based on the charge sheet, a case came to be registered - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-D:5389 CRL.P No. 101652 of 2024 against the petitioners in a Special Case No.4/2024 pending on the file of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Gadag. The proceedings of the said case are sought to be quashed in the present petition. 2. Learned counsel Sri.Abhinandan M.Guindawade files vakalath for respondent No.2. 3. Application is filed under Section 482 r/w. Section 320 of Cr.P.C and it is duly signed by the petitioner and respondent No.2 and their respective counsels. At the intervention of the elders and to keep harmony in the society, the respondent No.2 has agreed to amicably settle the dispute with the petitioner. 4. The respondent No.2 is present before the Court and submits that the matter is settled and he has no objections to quash the proceedings. The matter is settled and the proceedings against the petitioners in Special Case No.4/2024 pending on the file of Additional District and - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC-D:5389 CRL.P No. 101652 of 2024 Sessions Judge, Gadag, are quashed.
