The appellant/applicant has filed this application for compounding the offence punishable under Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003. It is submitted that as directed by this Court vide order dated 26.07.2024, the offence is compounded subject to deposit of compounding charges and the electricity bill. The appellant/accused has deposited the compounding charges and electricity bill. Learned Advocate for the respondent confirms the deposit of the amount. 3. The order of conviction and sentence dated 19.03.2009 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Gondia is set aside. 6. The appellant is acquitted of the offences punishable under Section 135(1) (b) & (c) and Section 135(d) of the Electricity Act, 2003. 7.
