Saha ..for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, 5th Court at Barasat to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 1189 of 2018 expeditiously. Mr. Ghosh, learned senior advocate for the petitioner submits that repeated dates have been fixed for cross- examination of DW-2. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to issue notice upon the opposite parties. However, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite parties or upon the learned advocates representing them before the learned trial judge. From the ordersheets appended to this application this Court finds that 13th April, 2025 was fixed for further cross-examination of DW-2. 2 Mr. Ghosh, learned senior advocate for the petitioner submits that the next date fixed for further cross- examination of DW-2 is 5th July, 2025. In the light of the submissions made by Mr. Ghosh, C.O. 85 of 2025 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, 5th Court at Barasat to make an endeavour to see that the Matrimonial Suit No. 1189 of 2018 is disposed of as expeditiously as possible preferably by the end of the month of December, 2025 without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties. This order has been passed taking note of the fact that the matrimonial suit is pending from the year 2018. There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
