SRI.SURIN GEORGE IPE, SMT.ANIMA M, GOVERNMENT PLEADER THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON 27.03.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING: W.P.(C)No.10805 of 2025 :3: 2025:KER:26357 J U D G M E N T Dated this the 27th day of March, 2025 The petitioner approached this Court seeking the following reliefs:- (i) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, direction or order commanding respondents 2 and 3 to provisionally participate the petitioner, the event, 'Keralanatanam' which is scheduled at 7.00 PM on 17.03.2025 in the Mahatma Gandhi University Union Yuvajanothsavam, 2023-24, 'DASTHAK'. (ii) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, direction or order commanding the 4th respondent to dispose of Ext.P1 appeal after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner. 2. When this writ petition came up for admission, this Court passed an interim order on 17.03.2025 to the following effect:- It is submitted that the petitioner got the second place in 'Keralanatanam' in the College Level Competition. Due to some mechanical defect, the song was played in between again, which resulted in grant of only second place to the petitioner. Else the petitioner W.P.(C)No.10805 of 2025 :4: 2025:KER:26357 could have scored the first place, contends the Counsel for the petitioner. 2) Though the petitioner filed Appeal against the decision, the Appeal Committee has not taken a decision so far, contends the petitioner. 3) Taking into consideration the afore facts, there will be an interim order directing respondents 2 and 3 to permit the petitioner to participate in the competition, provisionally and subject to further orders in this writ petition. 3. Standing Counsel submits that pursuant to the interim order of this Court, the petitioner was permitted to participate in the competition and he has secured the third place. In view of the above, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of holding that the petitioner will be entitled to third place in the competition. Sd/- N.
