This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz., (i) laying of CC roads near Nagasani Mandiram at Harnadhapuram extension in Division No.18 of Nellore Municipal Corporation (18/2) under GGMP Grant, vide Agreement.No.141/2023-24, date:20.07.2023, (ii) laying of CC roads from Guru Sai Nilayam Apartment to existing transformer at Harnadapuram 3rd cross road extension in Division No.18 of Nellore Municipal Corporation (18/1) under GGMP Grant, vide Agreement No.144/2023-24,Date:20.07.2023, (iii) laying of CC roads from D.No.16-11-922 to D.No.16-11-414 at Harnadhapuram 2nd street extension in Division No.18 of Nellore municipal corporation (18/3) under GGMP Grant, vide Agreement No.148A/2023-24, Date:22.7.2023, as entrusted by the 2nd respondent. 3 W.P. No.26201 OF 2025 Date of order: 23.09.2025 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed all the works entrusted by the 2nd respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted final bills aggregating to a sum of Rs.46,94,964/-. It is submitted that the final bills were duly endorsed by the competent authority. However, in spite of the completion of all procedural formalities, the payment towards the completed works has not been released till date. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 3 submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the work undertaken by the petitioner and the payment would be made shortly after due verification. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 to 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N BV
