Sendhil, Aged 46 years, R/o. 1-80/2, Lakshmipuram Kuppam, Chittoor District Petitioners/Accused No.4 to 7, 9 to 12 AND The State of Andhra Pradesh, rep by its Public Prosecutor, High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati Respondent/Complainant Petition under Section 482 of BNSS / Old Provision Under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. is filed praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the Criminal Petition, the High Court may be pleased to direct the Station House Officer, Kuppam Urban Police Station, Chittoor District to release the petitioners/accused No. 4 to 7 & 9 to 12 on bail in the event of their arrest in connection with Cr.No. 7/2025 of Kuppam Urban Police Station, Chittoor District. The petition/Appeal coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Petition and the grounds filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of PURNACHANDRA REDDY Advocate for the Petitioner, PUBLIC Sri D PROSECUTOR (AP) for the Respondent and the Court made the following. The Court made the following Order: The Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the BNSS, is filed on behalf of the petitioners herein/A4 to A7 and A9 to A12 to grant anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No.7 of 2025 of Kuppam Urban Police Station, Chittoor District. A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) and 109(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that at about 1 72 years ago, Chandru and Saranya got married in the presence of their elders and family members. Subsequently, differences between them, leading to family disputes between the complainant’s family and the accused's family. In connection with these disputes, the accused summoned the complainant’s family for a village elders' panchayat at the house of A10. During this mediation, A1 picked a quarrel with the complainant, and in 2. 3. arose 2 the course of the altercation, A1, along with the other accused, assauited the complainant and his family members with deadly weapons, intending to kill them. As a result, the complainant and IS family sustained grievous injuries. The injured were then shifted to the Government Area Hospital, Kuppam for treatment, and some were later referred to PES Hospital, Kuppam for better medical care. 4. Heard. Perused the record. It is submitted by the learned petitioners that the petitioners have counsel for the permanent abode and there 'S no possibility of their fleeing away from the justice. 3 8. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners herein on the following conditions. The petitioners herein are directed to surrender before the Station House Officer, concerned, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such surrender, petitioners herein are ordered to be enlarged on bail on their executing a personal bond for Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) each with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the Station House Officer, concerned. i) ii) On release, the petitioner Nos.1 to 4 shall appear before the Station House Officer, concerned, once in a fortnight, for a period of three (3) months. iii) The petitioners herein shall make themselves available for investigation as and when required and that they shall not cause any threat, inducement or promise to the prosecution witnesses.
