Present petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.83 dated 13.03.2017 under Sections 452, 323, 148 & 149 of IPC (Section 452 IPC deleted lateron), registered at Police Station Salem Tabri, Ludhiana and all subsequent proceedings, if any, taken on the basis of FIR being barred by limitation under Section 468 Cr.P.C. Further prayer has been made for stay of presentation of challan, during the pendency of the petition. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the cancellation report in the FIR as well as in the cross case have been prepared but the same are not being accepted by the learned Illaqa Magistarte, Ludhiana as the complainant is not appearing before the same. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Addl.A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. In view the above, the present petition stands disposed of. In case, the Investigating Agency files the cancellation report within a week on the receipt of the order, as submitted before this Court, the Court concerned would proceed in the same in accordance with law. However, petitioners would be at liberty to pursue their remedies as available to them under the law and would approach this Court again, in case, any further cause of action accrues.
