2 that of coaccused who were enlarged on bail by the coordinate Bench. 4. The first coaccused who was enlarged on bail by the coordinate Bench on September 18, 2024 passed in CRM(DB) 2449 of 2024. Coordinate Bench while considering the prayer for bail of such coaccused returned a finding that no specific role can be attributed to such coaccused. Subsequent orders are on the footing that no specific role could be attributed to such coaccused. 5. So far as the petitioner before us is concerned, there is an injured eyewitness statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code which implicates the petitioner in dragging the victim and strangulating her to her death. 6. In such circumstances, we are of the view that, petitioner before us does not stand on the same footing as that of other coaccused who were enlarged on bail by the coordinate Bench. 7. Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 8.
Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. 9. CRM(DB) 4056 of 2024 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.)
