BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE KARDAK ETE ORDER Date : 25.06.2025 Heard Ms. N. Anju, learned counsel for the applicant-the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and Mr. R. Koyu, learned counsel for the opposite party. 2. This is an application seeking extension of further 3(three) months’ time for compliance of the judgment and order dated 11.03.2025, passed by this Court in WP(C)55(AP)2021 (Shri Gyamar Tana Vs. The APPSC & Ors.). 3. Ms. Anju, learned counsel for the applicant submits that since the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducts examinations and other selection process, which are already fixed for a calendar year, even after making an endeavour to comply with the Hon’ble Court’s order to conduct the interview as directed by this Court in the connected writ petition being WP(C)55(AP)2021, same could not be completed within the said stipulated period.
She further submits that inviting and obtaining confirmation from subject experts for an interview sometime add on to delay in the process of selection. Page No.# 4/4 The APPSC is still under the process of completing the selection as directed by this Court and for that, further considerable time would be required. Therefore, she submits that further 3(three) months’ time may be granted to complete the entire process. 4. Although, Mr. Koyu, learned counsel for the opposite party has no serious objection for granting further time to complete the process as directed by this Hon’ble Court, he submits that the time sought for should be counted from the date of expiry of earlier 3(three) months, which would be from 11.03.2025 and thereafter, no further extension may be granted. 5. Having considered the submissions of the learned counsel for the parties and the extension sought for, is not seriously objected to by the learned counsel for the opposite party, and also considering that the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has initiated to complete the process as directed by this Court within the stipulated time, but due to unavoidable circumstances, same could not be completed, I am of the considered view that seeking extension of further 3(three) months’ appears reasonable. Accordingly, this Interlocutory Application is allowed by granting 3(three) months’ time to complete the entire process as directed by this Court in the connected writ petition (supra). 6. The I.A. stands closed, in terms of above. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
