This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on part of the respondent no.2/The Chairman, U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board, 3-A Mall Avenue, Lucknow in considering the representation of the petitioner dated October 18, 2024. 3. Upon due consideration, we are of the view that the respondent no.2/The Chairman, U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board, 3-A Mall Avenue, Lucknow should be directed to pass a reasoned order upon the representation of the petitioner dated October 18, 2024. 4. Accordingly, the respondent no.2/The Chairman, U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board, 3-A Mall Avenue, Lucknow is directed to pass a reasoned order upon the representation of the petitioner dated October 18, 2024 within a period of twelve weeks from date after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 5. We make it clear that additional time has been granted on the request of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, that they have to take clearance from the District Magistrate concerned regarding appointment of the petitioner as Mutawalli.
