This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works executed by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the works, viz.,(i) Laying of CC road from 43.191-1 to Noble Hospital (N.R.Peta road No.7) at N.R. Peta in Sachivalayam No.126 in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, ii) Laying of CC Side bumps from D.No. 44/89 to 44/97 at sachivalayam no. 125 in NR peta in ward no. 49 under GGMP Grant, (iii) Laying of CC road from 44-223 to 43/216 (SBI Bank Opp. Lane) at N.R.Peta in Sachivalayam No.126 in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (iv) Laying of Road from 44/180-A-B to General Kiranam Store (Prakash Nagar in Sachivalayam No.125 -3- W.P. No.24999 OF 2025 Date of order: 16.09.2025 in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (v) Construction of CC Drain from D.No.44/147-A to Samsung service point & side bumps at Sachivalayam No. 133 in N.R. Peta in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (vi) Restoration and improvement of CC drain from 43-191- 1 to Noble Hospital (N.R.Peta road No.7) at N.R. Peta in Sachivalayam No.126 in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (vii) Raising of Low level CC Road from D.No.44/147-A to RK Hospital at Sachivalayam No. 133 in N.R. Peta in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (viii) Laying of CC road from 44/133-A to 44/182 and 44/127/A to 44/187-A (Prakash Nagar road No.2) at Prakash nagar in Sachivalayam No.125 in Ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, (ix) Construction of CC drain from D. No. 44/182 to Keeranam store at Sachivalayam No. 125 in NR Peta in ward No. 49 under GGMP Grant, as entrusted by the 6th respondent- Corporation. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed all the works to the satisfaction of the 6th respondent- Corporation and thereafter submitted a final bill aggregating for a sum of Rs.49,73,891/-. It is submitted that the progress of the work was recorded in the M book and the bills were approved and -4- W.P. No.24999 OF 2025 Date of order: 16.09.2025 uploaded in the CFMS portal. However, no payment has been forthcoming. 5. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 3, 5 and 6 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.
