Applicant-Appellant, namely, Preetam Singh has applied for suspension of sentence during pendency of the appeal, arising against the judgment of conviction dated 29.09.2008 and order of sentence dated 30.09.2008 passed by Special Judge, Prevention of Corruption Act, U.P./Additional Sessions Judge, Ghaziabad, thereby convicting the appellant under Sections 120B, 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC and Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(D) Prevention of Corruption Act, who has been sentenced for commission of the said offences alongwith fine. The applicant-convict was prosecuted through the C.B.I., under Sections 120B, 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC and Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(D) Prevention of Corruption Act, registered at Police Station C.B.I., District Dehradun. As per report by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ghaziabad dated 23.08.2023 addressed to this Court, it has been intimated that the appellant-Preetam Singh is no more. As a result, the appeal abates and is disposed of.
