1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for the following relief(s);
“i.That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to consider the candidature of the petitioner and issue appointment order in his favour on the post of Assistant Professor (Political Science) (Higher Education) pursuant to the final select list dated 19/6/2021, wherein the name of the petitioner is at S.No.20, along with all consequential benefits including the seniority and allow him to render his services on the said post without any interruption. ii. 2 ii. Any other relief, which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper, may also kindly be granted to the petitioners, in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, for the present, this writ petition may be disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make a representation regarding his claim for seniority, as his appointment was delayed by the respondents due to the pendency of a criminal case.
3. The submission is not opposed by the respondents.
4. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for both parties, and without entering into the merits of the case at this stage, this writ petition is
disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to submit a representation before Respondents No. 1 and 2 regarding his claim for seniority within 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event such representation is submitted, Respondents No. 1 and 2 / the competent authority shall consider and decide the same in an objective manner and in accordance with law within a further period of 120 days. The petitioner shall be afforded an opportunity of personal hearing. If any adverse order is passed against the petitioner, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court again.
