GP FOR SERVICES II The Court made the following order: Heard Sri Manoj Kumar Bethapudi, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2. The instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for regularization in terms of the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Regularization of Services of Contract Employees Act, 2023 (for short, 8Act 30 of 20239) dated 20.10.2023. 3. It is contended that the petitioner was initially appointed as a junior lecturer on a contract basis at Government College, Vemuru, in a regular vacancy in the Electronics Engineering Department on a full-time basis. The Government of Andhra Pradesh brought into effect the Act 30 of 2023, regularizing the services of persons appointed on a contract basis on or before 02.06.2014, who are continuing in Government Departments. In consequence thereof, the heads of the departments were asked to examine the cases for the regularization of the services of eligible contract persons as per the conditions stipulated under Act 30 of 2023. Seeking consideration of his case in terms of the said Act, the petitioner had submitted representations. Upon the said representations, the 3rd respondent passed orders stating that the entire process has been put on hold pending the implementation of the code of conduct for general elections and appropriate 3 orders would be issued at the appropriate stage. It is stated that since then, no orders have been passed by the respondent. He places reliance on the order passed by the coordinate Bench(s) of this Court on the very same issue, a copy of the judgments have been annexed to the writ petition. The fact has not been disputed by the learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondents. 4. Considered the submissions. 5. Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to examine the case of the petitioner for regularization of their service in terms of the Andhra Pradesh Regularization of Services of Contract Employees Act, 2023, within a period of eight (08) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
