HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJESH BHARDWAJ Present: Petitioner- Vikram Dev Singh Sarang in person with Ms. Bindiya Sharma, Advocate and Mr. Deepak Kumar, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Balram Singh, Addl. PP, UT, Chandigarh. Rajesh Bhardwaj, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition is for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to take action on the representation dated 15.02.2024 for getting a free and fair investigation in a case FIR No.172 dated 24.11.2022 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 474 & 120-B IPC registered at Police Station Central Sector-17, Chandigarh. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the FIR in the present case was lodged by the petitioner on 24.11.2022, but the Investigating Agency is intentionally delaying the investigation and not completed the same. On instructions from the Investigating Officer, who is present in Court, learned State counsel has submitted that the investigation is already in progress and the same would be completed in a free and fair manner within a period of one month from today. In view of the submissions made above, the present petition is
disposed of with a direction to the Investigating Agency to conclude the investigation within a period of one month from today as undertaken before this Court, in accordance with law. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to pursue his remedy in case any further cause of action accrues to him.
