This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., providing electro mechanical filtration equipment in filtration room & construction of toilets at swimming pool at Bapanolla thota (park), Nehru Nagar, vide agreement No.125/2023-24, dt.03.02.2024, as entrusted by the 3rd respondent. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the works to the satisfaction of the 3rd respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the works, the authorities of the 3rd respondent recorded the progress of the work in M Book and thereafter, the petitioner has submitted a final bill for a sum of -3- W.P. No.28670 OF 2025 Date of order: 16.10.2025 Rs.65,23,835/- and the same was approved by the 3rd respondent, but so far no payment has been made to the petitioner. 5. In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submits that there is no dispute with respect to the completion of the works undertaken by the petitioner and the payment would be made shortly. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 3 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.
